ZONING HEARING NOTICE

Harmar Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the Harmar Township Municipal Building, 701 Freeport Road, Harmer, PA, to consider the following application for variance:

Application of Kenjoh Outdoor Advertising, LLC regarding property located at 2405 Freeport Road, Harmar Township, Parcel ID 441-J-100 in an I-1, General Industrial District for the purpose of erecting a single mono pole billboard with two electronic faces on the property. The applicant is requesting three variances from Chapter 27 of the Harmar Township Code of Ordinances, § 27.703.4.D; specifically, the applicant is requesting variances for (a) to permit square footage of 396 square feet per side, which exceeds the minimum square footage of 300 square feet of area for each side; (b) to permit a setback of 10 feet from the right of way where a 100 foot set back is required; and (c) to permit a height of 50 feet, which exceeds the 35 feet maximum height.

Please take notice that the Hearing will be conducted by the Zoning Hearing Board and its appointed Hearing Officer, Craig H. Alexander, Esquire. The meeting will also be held via the virtual platform ZOOM for any interested party, resident or taxpayer of the community or member of the ZHB to participate remotely should they choose to do so. Please be advised that in person capacity will be limited to TEN people on a first come first serve basis with the Board, Applicants, presenters and witnesses having preference.  Members of the public who wish to participate are encouraged to do so via the ZOOM meeting platform.  A link to the meeting as well as dial in numbers will be posted to the Township Website at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting for remote participation.
