Pennsylvania Resources Council - Hard-To-Recycle Day

 

Pennsylvania Resources Council(P.R.C.) Hard-to-Recycle Collection event at the Pittsburgh Mills Mall on May 22 from 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will be held on a registration schedule basis due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets for available time slots are open one month prior to the event date.  Registration for a time slot is free and available per person.  If you can not attend your registered time, please cancel your registration by emailing [email protected] or through the link on Eventbrite.  Please click here for more information and to register. Please see lists below for acceptable items and any fees that apply for certain items.  We ask that all in attendance please follow these guidelines:

  • Wear a face mask
  • Remain in your vehicle at all times
  • Payment via credit or debit card is preferred
  • Materials to be recycled should be placed in trunk or truck bed
  • Please arrive on site 5-10 minutes prior to your allotted collection time. Persons who are late will have to wait for the next open spot when it becomes available. 

 

Materials Collected for a FEE

  • All Computer Monitors (flat screen & CRT) – $20 each
  • Televisions – $30 each
  • Console or Rear Projection TVs – $40 each
  • Printers – $5 each
  • Small Freon Containing Appliances (window ac units, dehumidifiers) $10 each
  • Fluorescent tubes: $2 per 4 foot tube
  • Tires (car/truck) $4 without rims $10 with rims
  • Hard Drive Data Destruction Verification -1 Drive $11.00 each
  • Hard Drive Data Destruction Verification - each additional drive after 1st $3 each

  • Laptops
  • Mice, & keyboards
  • Home phones & cellphones
  • Tablets & UPS,
  • Servers, routers, & modems
  • DVD Players
  • VCRs
  • Stereos
  • Microwaves
  • Copiers & scanners
  • Electronic cables
  • Video game consoles
  • Expanded Polystyrene packaging material
  • Glass bottles, jugs, and jars (all colors, labels and lids can remain on)

Materials NOT being Accepted at 2021 events:

  • Batteries
  • CFLs
  • Media (VHS, DVDs, Cassette tapes)
