Stormwater Management
(MS4 Program)
Harmar Township has an MS4 system which is a municipality owned drainage system utilizing a series of connected drains, pipes, and ditches that assists with stormwater management. The MS4 system is designed to divert stormwater to decrease instances and severity of flooding in the surrounding area.
The MS4 system used by Harmar Township is a separate system from the sewer lines. For this reason, when purchasing or transferring a residence, there must be a dye test completed prior to the closing and lien letter submission to ensure that there are no possible contaminating connections to the stormwater management system.
