Deadline For Board of Supervisors' Vacancy Interest Submission

TOWNSHIP OF HARMAR - NOTICE

The Board of Supervisors of the Township of Harmar has a vacancy on the Board of Supervisors for the term ending January 3, 2022.  The vacancy will be filled by appointment by the Honorable Alan D. Hertzberg of the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.  Eligible candidates must be registered electors of the Township of Harmar, and must have resided in the Township for at least the prior year.  Interested candidates should send a letter of interest and resume care of the Township Solicitor via email or USPS mail to the below address or by hand delivery to the Harmar Township Municipal Building for filing with the Court.  Letters and resumes must be received by March 19, 2021 for candidates to be considered for appointment.

The Court will hold a hearing to consider the candidates for appointment on March 30, 2021, at 10:00 am at the Harmar Township Municipal Building, 701 Freeport Road, Cheswick, PA, at which the Court will consider input from the candidates, Township residents, and the Township Supervisors in a manner prescribed by the Court at that time.  Members of the Public are welcome to attend in person following all current COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing measures or may attend remotely by teleconference.  If you wish to attend the hearing via teleconference please follow the below steps:
